The short version
- We collect as little as we can: the chores you add, the buddies you pick and, if you turn them on, when to remind you.
- We don't sell your information, and we don't use it for advertising.
- There's no AI in the app, so your chores aren't analysed, profiled or used to train anything.
- You can delete your data at any time by deleting the app.
1. Who we are
ididit (the "app") is made by Vision Studio - Lindenstraat 42, 2500 Lier (BE) ("we", "us"). We are responsible for the information described in this policy. If you have any questions, contact us at support@iditit.io.
2. What we collect
Information you give us
- Chores and settings: the chores you add, how often they repeat, the buddy you pick for each one and when you tick them off.
- Reminder preferences: whether reminders are on, and when you'd like them.
- Messages to us: if you contact support, your email address and whatever you choose to tell us.
Information collected automatically
- Notification token: if you turn on reminders, your device gives the app a token so notifications can be delivered. It identifies the app on your device, not you personally.
- Diagnostics: if your device is opted in for crash reporting and analytics, we collect basic technical information such as device model, operating system version, app version and crash logs, so we can fix problems. This is not linked to your chores.
We don't collect your name, contacts, photos, location or payment details, and we don't track you across other apps or websites.
3. Where your information is kept
Your chores and settings are stored on your device and in your personal iCloud if you have iCloud sync enabled].
4. How we use it
- To run the app: show your chores, your buddies and how close each chore is to being due.
- To send reminders, if you've asked for them.
- To fix bugs and keep the app working well.
- To answer you when you contact us.
We don't use your information for advertising, and we don't make automated decisions about you.
5. Our legal basis
If you're in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we rely on these legal bases under the GDPR:
- Contract: to provide the app and the features you use.
- Consent: for reminders and notifications. You can withdraw consent at any time in your device settings.
- Legitimate interests: to keep the app secure and fix problems, in ways you'd reasonably expect.
6. Who we share it with
We don't sell or rent your information. We only share it with service providers who help us run the app, under contracts that require them to protect it:
- Apple, to deliver notifications and distribute the app through its store, and, if enabled on device, for crash reporting or analytics, to diagnose problems.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of our users or others.
7. International transfers
Some of our service providers may process information outside your country. Where information leaves the EEA or the UK, we make sure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
8. How long we keep it
Chores and settings are kept until you delete them or delete the app. Support emails are kept for up to 24 months. Diagnostic data is kept for up to 90 days.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- access the information we hold about you;
- correct it if it's wrong;
- delete it;
- restrict or object to how we use it;
- receive a copy in a portable format;
- withdraw your consent at any time.
To use any of these rights, email support@iditit.io. We'll respond within one month. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to your local data protection authority.
10. Children
The app isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information. If you think a child has given us information, contact us and we'll delete it.
11. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and at rest. No system is completely secure, but we work to keep your information safe and will tell you if a breach affects you, as the law requires.
12. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. If the changes are significant, we'll let you know in the app before they take effect.
